TOUR ITINERARY
Our qualified guide will lead you through all the important historical moments of life of the Winter Palace (Hermitage) inhabitants, introduce you to the works of the world-known artists and go over all the main showpieces.
Meet your guide outside the museum who will be holding a sign “Hermitage Tour”. See below pictures with the meeting point. Starting time – 11:00 am. Please arrive at least 10 minutes in advance.
The tour starts with the famous Jordan Staircase and the will first pass through the halls of the Neva enfilade, previously used for official ceremonies and celebrations. You will see the Antechamber and the Concert Hall, the Malachite Room and the Small dining room.
Later you will visit Pavilion hall, admire the decorations of St. George’s and Throne Halls, the Heroes of 1812 Gallery, the Raphael loggia, the Leonardo hall, the Majolica room with two Raphael masterpieces, the majestic Stamp Hall, the Ancient Painting Hall, the Nicholas Hall, striking in its dimensions.
See a part of the collection of Western European works, numbering over 600,000 items. is considered to be one of the finest in the world. It presents every stage in the development of art, from the Middle Ages through the modern period.
The tour is over and your guide gives you some helpful advice on exploring the museum on your own. You have to spend here 11 years in order to charm by all exhibited works of art 😉
